Part - 5 Some common problems

Q- I can get only Audio and no Video and buffer stops at 99%?
A- The only cause of the problem is that h264 codecs needed to view our streams are not installed properly. Make sure, you install all the 3 files (available for download above) without any interruptions or error and make sure you installed it in the default directory (in the C:)

Q- I am getting 401 Authorization required¯ error or File not found ?
A- 99% of the time, you get this error if the channel is offline. Try again later. If your getting this error on ALL the channels for long time now, then make sure you are entering the correct login information. Username and password are both case sensative! Make sure no one else is using your account or you did not leave the stream on another computer. If this doesn't work then change your password ( go to user cp¯ ) and clear your cookies and cache, relogin with your new password and try again. .

Q- When I click the login button of a channel it takes me to a "Page cannot be displayed"¯
You are behind a firewall and your ports are being blocked. Try to turn off your firewall or try from a different internet connection.
Kingmedia.tv recommends Firefox Browser! IE is known to cause "Page cannot be displayed" issues

Q- I get a lot of buffering, or the video keeps going off every few seconds?
A - STOP all other programs that use the Internet especially any PEER TO PEER program. We recommend at least a 1MB connection as our streams use about 400k. Stop all your downloads and chat programs and try again. If this doesnt work check for spyware and adware which maybe eating your bandwidth.

Q - I get the same channel no matter what channel i try to watch?
A- please empty your cookies and cache and USE FIREFOX and not IE as a browser. This is a problem with your browser cookies. WE STRONGLY recommend firefox. Please dont post a question till you have tried firefox

Q- How do I find out my internet speed?
A- You can find it here http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/

Q- The stream opens in Windows media player not, winamp?
A- Follow "Part 2: Winamp settings "(scroll above)

Q- I get " error syncing to mpeg " error ?
A-This problem is caused because you do not have latest version of winamp. Please visit http://winamp.com/player/full.php and download latest winamp and it will correct this problem.

Q- I get "Resolving host" ?
A- This could be because you entered characters for user name and password that winamp cannot understand. Please change ur password to just alphabets or numbers and your user name should use just alphabets or numbers aswell. Send a pm to an admin for more information.

Part - 6 Some useful information on connecting computer to TV

Hooking your PC up to a Television. THE QUALITY WILL NOT DECREASE, IN FACT IT WILL BE MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN WATCHING ON COMPUTER MONITOR

If you always wanted to hook up your PC to your Television but you needed help, we are here for you. If you take a minute to look on the back of your PC you will see several different ports or connectors. There are basically three connectors to look for when hooking your PC to your TV. These are RCA Composite (Picture 1), SVIDEO (Picture 2), and VGA (Picture 3).

RCA Composite

SVIDEO

VGA

The newer your computer is, the better chance that it comes with either a RCA Composite or SVIDEO connection. Some notebook computers also have video outputs on them. When buying a new computer always look for the words "TV out" or "video out" in the computer description.

If you only have a VGA connector and don't have an HDTV then your best choice is to buy a newer video card with an S-Video connector. There are other third party solutions out there but the quality is very poor and we do not recommend it.

The VGA port is the connector that's connected to your PC monitor (the TV like device that came with your computer). This connector is usually only usable for VGA Monitors or HDTV setups. If you have an HDTV this will give you the best image possible.

If you have an RCA Composite connector on the back of your computer, then you can use that. You may also need to power down your computer and reboot to be able to get the signal. You need an RCA Composite cable that will be long enough to reach from your computer to your TV. Connect the cable to the back of the computer to the back of your TV SET.

S-Video is superior to that of RCA Composite and will give you a clearer picture. If you have a fairly new TV you should have this connector in the back. You will need to buy an S-VIDEO cable, which you can buy just about anywhere you buy home video products. Connect the cable to your S-Video on the back of your computer and then connect it on the back of your TV.

NOTE: If your TV has many video modes you might need to select the video mode that the cable is plugged into. Read your instruction manual that came with your TV to do this. Also, you will have to go to display properties (right click on desktop and click properties) on your computer and change settings under "settings" tab

If you have cables that are not long enough, there are some wireless solutions
